Artemis is one of the most technologically-advanced planets in the Known Worlds, and is ruled Sanctuary Aeon, a major sect of the Universal Church. The Amaltheans allow local cantons limited democracy by giving them government by councils elected on a limited franchise. Artemis can only be accessed from Holy Terra's jumpgate.
