Mahayana is the progressive inclusive wing of the orthodox church.

It emphasizes the Universal Orthodox mission to bring hope to the poor, the oppressed and the alien. Its theologians believe the Pancreator's divine light exists in all sentient life. It has lost power in political battles within the Church to the Hinayana Orthodoxy remaining out of favour for a century but has made a comeback during the Emperor Wars. It remains popular in Urban areas of the most populated worlds like Criticorium, Leaguheim and Byzantium Secundus.

Its name is of Buddhist origin meaning "Greater Vessel."
