The Known Worlds

The Known Worlds are those planets that claim allegance to the Phoenix Throne rules by Emperor Alexius I. These planets were once the centre of the Second Republic and are now all that remains of the pinnacle of human civilisation. It is important to note several things. These remaining worlds are only vaguely aware of where they are in relation to each other in real space, the re-emergent science of astronomy is helping to fix this. There is no form of mass communication between the worlds, word of mouth and the Crier's Guild is all there is. The worlds are a mix of technological levels going from near Urth Dark Ages to second Republic in places. Beyond its borders are many barbarian civilisations, alien empires and Lost Worlds
