Velisamil is owned by House Hawkwood, but is homeworld to the alien race of Obun. It is also home to the Voavenlohjun sect of the Universal Church of the Celestial Sun. The Hawkwoods allow the Obun a large degree of self-government by its Ruling Council, whose members are elected for life by direct popular vote. There are some Annunaki ruins on the Obun homeworld. Called Obun by humans.
